FTPA advises on Nortel restructuring

French business law firm FTPA is advising Franck Michel, court administrator, and Cosme Rogeau, court liquidator, in connection with the sale of Nortel Networks’ assets.

After several restructuring operations, the North American telecommunications equipment supplier has been placed under creditor protection worldwide and European insolvency proceedings, including its main French operating subsidiary.

FTPA partners Antoine Tchekhoff and Edouard Fabre have been advising on the restructuring process since May 2009, handling all aspects of the insolvency process and sale of the French subsidiary’s assets.

The North American estates of Nortel are advised by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, while the European entities are administered by Ernst & Young London and advised by Herbert Smith.
