Gresham backed James Grant acquires Anthony Addis

OJK, part of Gresham Private Equity backed James Grant, has acquired Addis, a Stockport based accountancy practice.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

OJK provides accountancy, tax and consultancy services to clients within the music, entertainment and sports sectors. Clients include Bryan Adams, Davina McCall and Sir Bob Geldof.

Addis clients include Muse, Manic Street Preachers, The Script, New Order and Elbow.

Pat Savage, managing director of OJK and group director of James Grant, says: “Addis & Co has a highly regarded client base and in acquiring this business we establish a North West office to complement our central London practice. I have known Anthony Addis, the principal, for a number of years and am delighted we will now have the opportunity to work with him and his talented team.”

The acquisition is the third in a growth strategy led by the JGG management team, in partnership with Gresham, since the creation of JGG in August last year.

In February 2010, James Grant Media acquired the business and assets of artist representation agency First Artist Management and in March this year, OJK acquired the entertainment element of Michael Kay, a Birmingham based specialist accountancy practice.
