Investment banking firm Evercore Partners has appointed Lincoln C. Singleton as a managing director in the firm’s private funds group.
Singleton will be based in Evercore's New York office where he will be responsible for managing the group's relationships with limited partners in the south-east and Texas.
Previously, he was a managing director at Durham Asset Management, the distressed credit manager, where he played a significant role in increasing its assets under management from USD420m to USD1.35bn.
Singleton's appointment strengthens Evercore’s private funds group in North America and builds on the recent hire of Christian von Massenbach as a vice president in the London office. Massenbach's primary focus will be on the Swiss and German markets.
"I am delighted to welcome Lincoln and Christian to Evercore," says Richard Anthony, head of the private funds group. "The addition of Lincoln and Christian to our team is a further milestone for our business. Both bring strong relationships and experience, which will further strengthen Evercore's existing independent advisory offering."
Singleton adds: "Evercore private funds group has developed an enviable, high quality, global platform. There are significant opportunities in the fund placement market for a firm like Evercore and I am delighted to be joining this talented team."
