Berkshire Partners has enlisted the help of Dimension Data as the private equity firm makes the move into new offices. Dimension has optimised the technology capabilities of Berkshire Partners’ new offices and accelerated the company’s communications systems, by implementing multiple network and communications solutions and integrating the company’s Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) with a Cisco IP-Telephony network.
Dimension Data implemented a Cisco local area network (LAN) with 10-Gigabit Ethernet, a secure Cisco Wireless LAN and Cisco ASA firewalls. Additionally, Dimension Data deployed the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Unified Messaging and Cisco Unified Presence Server integrated with Microsoft OCS. To ensure they had the proper level of ongoing support, Berkshire Partners also engaged with Dimension Data to add support services by acquiring Uptime powered by Cisco Services.
Uptime powered by Cisco Services is a comprehensive support solution that includes defined service level agreements to maximize uptime to ensure rapid restoration from any outage, access to a US-based Global Service Center for level 1 and 2 support, and access to Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center for serious network problems. Perhaps most importantly, the solution includes a dedicated service delivery manager who serves as a single point of contact responsible for addressing any issues and ensuring timely problem resolution.
