Mirow to join RiverRock’s senior advisory board

Thomas Mirow is to join RiverRock European Capital Partners’ senior advisory board, effective 7 January.

From 2008 to 2012, Mirow (pictured) was the fifth president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. Previously he was a State Minister in Hamburg (1991 to 2001) and worked in the private sector before being appointed by Chancellor Schröder as Director of the Economics Department at the Chancellery (2005).

After the election of Chancellor Merkel in late 2005 and up to 2008, he served as Germany’s Deputy Finance Minister (Staatssekretär) in charge of international affairs and financial markets.

Mirow has a long experience in board memberships at Deutsche Telekom, Daimler Chrysler Aerospace, KfW and, as a chairman, at Hamburg Port and Hamburg Airport.

"I’m excited to join the prestigious senior advisory board of RiverRock," says Mirow. "I look forward to the opportunity to advise RiverRock and to explore new investment products, with a particular focus on long-term and infrastructure investments. I am impressed by the development of this young firm and am looking forward to creating value through new and existing investments."

Roland Berger, chairman and co-founder of RiverRock, says: “We are truly delighted to have Thomas Mirow join RiverRock’s advisory board. Thomas Mirow’s wealth of relevant experience in the public as well as in the private sector will bring a unique and invaluable perspective to RiverRock’s investment products and other strategic activities.”
