ECI promotes Lewis Bantin to partner
Growth-focused private equity firm ECI Partners has promoted Lewis Bantin to the position of partner.
The promotion recognises Bantin’s (pictured) contribution to ECI since he joined the firm in May 2008 particularly his work as head of the commercial team, an important feature of ECI’s value creation capability.
The commercial team works closely with management to help accelerate growth, bringing to bear both dedicated internal resources and the networks developed by ECI Partners over the past three decades. The team supports 100 day planning programmes and also focuses on strategic development projects, ranging from marketing and sales effectiveness to international expansion opportunities.
Under Bantin’s leadership, the team works both pre and post deal completion. His most recent transactions include ECI’s acquisition of compliance assurance specialist Citation, and the firm’s investment in Clarke Energy, a provider of gas-fired power solutions.
Prior to joining ECI, Bantin spent eight years at The Monitor Group, a global strategy consulting firm, based in London and Hong Kong.
Sean Whelan, managing director at ECI, says: “Lewis’s promotion recognises his effective leadership of ECI’s commercial team, a unique and vital contributor to the success of our portfolio investments. We are confident Lewis will continue to help our management teams to unlock the full growth potential in each of their companies.
“ECI’s recent transactions demonstrate that there continue to be exciting growth opportunities within the UK mid-market. Our commercial team plays a crucial role in helping to nurture those opportunities.”
