Lyceum-backed Access Group acquires TeamSeer

Lyceum Capital-backed Access Group, a developer of business management software, has acquired SaaS-based staff planner and team management solution TeamSeer, increasing the number of subscribers to its cloud-based platform aCloud.

The transaction represents Access’ ninth add-on since Lyceum Capital invested in the company in March 2011.

Access is one of the top five fastest growing UK software developers in The Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 2012 and featured in last year’s Profit Track 100. It has over 300 customers across well-known brands including Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Erickson, Siemens and the New York Stock Exchange.

The TeamSeer solution automates the entire absence management process, providing online staff planning and team management software that gives line managers and staff visibility of their teams.

Chris Bayne, chief executive for Access, says: “TeamSeer will be integrated into our fast growing Access aCloud platform as we continue to expand its functionality and increase the ability for customers to collaborate, communicate and manage their business at all levels. Adding such an established player in the HR space to our SaaS portfolio is truly a great asset.

“With 40,000 active users and 8,000 logins per day, TeamSeer will help drive traffic into our aCloud product and build awareness of other products in the Access portfolio.”

Peter Wake, founder of TeamSeer, says: “This is an exciting move for both companies and is the perfect springboard to take TeamSeer to the next level in its evolution. Now we’ll be able to harness the resources of Access Group, cementing an exciting future for our product. This is a great day for us and for our customers alike.”
