Ingenious Clean Energy strengthens investment team with five appointments

Ingenious, the UK alternative investment and advisory group, has strengthened its clean energy division with five new appointments, including Helen Wade as a senior investment director.

In addition, the firm has appointed one investment director, one investment manager and two investment associates. The appointments bring Ingenious Clean Energy’s team of investment professionals to 12, with over 50 years’ renewables and energy efficiency experience between them.
Ingenious is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, having raised and deployed over GBP8bn in alternative investment sectors since 1998.
Ingenious Clean Energy was established in 2010 to enable Ingenious clients to invest in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors – asset classes into which Ingenious identified multiple entry points delivering low to high yield investment opportunities.
Sebastian Speight, managing director of Ingenious Clean Energy, says: “I have been delighted to welcome Helen, Baiju, Roberto, Angus and Simon to the Ingenious Clean Energy team over the last few months. They join the team at an important stage in our business growth and at an exciting point in the nation’s energy debate. The need to consume energy more efficiently is ascending the political agenda, with the government and corporates alike considering ever more seriously their green energy futures. I look forward to working with all my colleagues as we move into the New Year, leveraging their enthusiasm for clean energy as a sector with huge investment potential as we build out our offerings.”
