Post Capital Partners holds USD52m first closing of second fund

Post Capital Partners has held first closing of Post Capital Equity Partners III, its second fund, at USD52 million.

The target size of the fund is USD100 million.

The firm will continue to make both minority growth and control investments in small and middle-market companies by primarily employing its “Executive-First” deal sourcing and investment strategy.

Post Capital Equity Partners III also completed its first investment by acquiring EC Waste from Waste Management. EC Waste is the leading waste management provider in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. EC Waste CEO Randy Jensen is a 30-year waste management industry veteran who, as an executive partner with Post Capital, worked closely with its investment team to identify and structure the EC Waste transaction.

Post Capital targets companies with attractive business models, with emphasis on repeat and recurring revenues, diverse customer bases and strong service components. The firm typically targets companies with revenue from USD10m to USD100 million and a minimum of USD2 million of EBITDA.

Mitchell A Davidson of Post Capital says: “We are very pleased with the reception that our fund has received to this point in the marketplace. At the same time, we remain focused on partnering with proven operators who share a clear vision to transform businesses and materially enhance shareholder value."

Rafael Astruc of Garrison Securities has partnered with Post Capital to invest in the fund and is also acting as a strategic advisor and helping to diversify and expand Post Capital’s investor base.
