OMERS Private Equity recapitalises DTI

OMERS Private Equity (OPE) has completed a recapitalisation of Document Technologies Holdings (DTI) in conjunction with DTI’s management team.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, DTI is a provider of legal process outsourcing services in the US. The company has 29 offices nationwide and on-site client services in nearly 70 markets.

John Davenport, Jr, chief executive of DTI, says: "We are excited about our partnership with OPE. Their culture, large capital base, international presence and long-term investment approach make them an ideal partner for DTI as we strive to become the provider of choice in the legal process outsourcing industry. We will continue to provide innovative, value-added legal cost containment solutions for clients seeking greater visibility and management of their overall legal spend."

"We are looking forward to partnering with John Davenport, Jr, CEO of DTI, and his management team for the company's next phase of growth," says Eric Haley, Managing Director at OPE. "We believe that DTI will continue to distinguish itself as a market leader in the highly fragmented legal process outsourcing industry in the years ahead."

Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP acted as legal counsel for OMERS Private Equity.
