EFG combines global fund servicing capabilities

Ian Henderson has been appointed the global head of EFG Fund Services, which is part of EFG Wealth Solutions, headed by Gerard Gardner.

EFG has been providing support services to funds in major international jurisdictions for over 25 years.

EFG Fund Services operates from offices in Jersey, Luxembourg, Miami, the Cayman Islands and Singapore.

The rationale for bringing these together is to improve coordination and to leverage the experience across the group, thereby enhancing its offering to clients. The latter include major banks, investment houses, property specialists, venture capital and private equity firms, as well as funds managed within EFG International.

EFG Fund Services supports both open-ended and closed-ended funds investing in a broad range of asset classes including private equity, real estate, fund of funds, debt, listed securities and physical assets. Services provided include fund administration, fund accounting and NAV calculation, transfer agency, domiciliation, investor communications, custodian, AIFMD Depositary, fund governance and regulatory compliance. It also offers listing capabilities on both the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and Channel Islands Securities Exchange. EFG Fund Services is a licensed AIFMD Depositary via its Luxembourg office, and was one of the first institutions to attain this accreditation.

Henderson says: “EFG has long experience in providing services to funds, and has established capabilities in various jurisdictions worldwide. The creation of EFG Fund Services as a unified global business allows us to optimise our capabilities for the benefit of our clients. We can be truly jurisdiction-neutral in devising solutions for our clients, and can also serve them close to where they operate, underpinned by local knowledge and experience. We are already seeing strong interest in our global services, most notably in the appointment of EFG Fund Services in Luxembourg as AIFMD Depositary to funds from a number of jurisdictions.”
