Wellington Financial appoints two partners

Wellington Financial has appointed Rob Helm and Sean Lynden as partners.

Helm and Lynden will be based in Wellington's new office in San Jose, California.

Helm joins Wellington with 14 years of experience financing high-growth technology businesses.  Prior to joining Wellington, he was a partner with Gold Hill Capital, with responsibilities for transaction sourcing and adjudication.  Before he joined Gold Hill in 2003, he spent three years with Silicon Valley Bank.

Lynden joins Wellington with over 20 years of experience providing debt financing to growth companies, primarily in the California region.  As a founding partner of Gold Hill Capital, he was involved in every facet of the business, including capital raising, transaction sourcing, credit reviews and portfolio management over a 14 year period.  Previous to Gold Hill Capital, Lynden spent 12 years with Silicon Valley Bank, with senior executive responsibilities.

"We are pleased to join forces with Wellington Financial," says Lynden. "Wellington has demonstrated their commitment to financing the same type of high quality technology companies that we supported at Gold Hill Capital over the past 14 years. Rob and I are excited to have a new stable platform that will allow us to serve our market for many years to come."

"During their many years with Gold Hill Capital, Sean and Rob demonstrated the value of partnership to their portfolio companies and VC relationships," says Mark McQueen, president and chief executive of Wellington Financial.  "Our new colleagues also generated excellent risk-adjusted returns for their limited partners on both Gold Hill funds, and we are delighted to have them join forces with us."
