Investec has expanded its investment banking business with the appointment of Christian Hess as head of its newly created financial sponsor transaction group.
Hess brings a wealth of experience having advised private equity clients for 20 years, including as a founder member of the UBS Financial Sponsor Group and with various M&A execution and senior management roles during his 16 years at UBS. He was a member of the UBS European Investment Banking Department Executive Committee (2007-2012) and head of EMEA Investment Banking Department Coverage (2010-2012).
Hess then founded Hess & Co Capital Advisors and was one of seven partners at Compass Partners International since 2013.
Since 1999, he has completed more than 100 private equity deals.
