Auda appoints Eunseok So to Asian private equity team

Private equity investor Auda International has appointed Eunseok So as a Senior Vice President, based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. 

“We are delighted to have Eunseok join our team in Asia,” says Jacob Chiu, Auda MD and head of Asian investments. “I have worked with Eunseok in the past and he brings excellent skills and experience that will complement our existing practice.”
 
So says: “It is great to be joining Auda at this time. I am very impressed by Auda’s commitment to Asian private market investments and excited to join the firm’s growing team in the region.”
 
So joins an Auda Asia team that earlier this month added Lucian Wu as a second Hong Kong-based Managing Director. Auda invests through commingled primary funds-of-funds, secondary funds-of-funds and direct/co-investment funds, as well as on behalf of separately managed accounts. The sources of Auda’s capital include the Harald Quandt family of Germany as well as other family offices, insurance companies, public and private pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
 
Prior to his appointment with Auda, So was a Vice President with the former Squadron Capital, and before that was head of the private equity team at Daishin Securities, based in Seoul. A native of South Korea, So is a CFA Charterholder. He holds an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and a BEcon from Korea University.
