Bravia Capital invests in Thotaka Tecknologies India Private Limited

Bravia Capital has acquired a significant minority stake in Thotakã Tecknologies India Private Limited (“Thotakã”), a Hyderabad, India based Engineering Services Company.

Thotakã is a business focused on high-technology product engineering and value added pilot manufacturing. The emergence of multi-Giga Hertz data-rates at chip and system level and modern communication technologies using radio frequencies, are creating new categories of devices and large-scale middleware systems development. Thotakã is focused on these developments across industrial and consumer appliances, automotive electronics, telecommunications devices and other strategic electronics.

Sriram Subramanian, Director Operations at Thotakã is bullish about the international markets in this field of engineering services. He said, “We are confident that the partnership with Bravia Capital will help us accelerate our growth plans especially for US markets.”

Sujit Cherian, Head of India Business for Bravia Capital, says: “This investment is in recognition of the tremendous untapped technical potential in the exciting field of middleware and RF outsourcing to India. Indian engineers have been recognised and tapped in various types of software product development. While Bravia¹s focus has typically been in the transportation, logistics and related asset financing sectors, this investment will satisfy two of our key investment criteria which are to invest in businesses in the cutting edge of their field and those with world class management teams.”
