The appointments follow the recent closing of Ambienta’s second private equity fund, which raised EUR323.5 million from a wide range of blue chip institutions globally. The Fund will continue the growth-focused strategy of the Firm, targeting industrial businesses capturing the long-term global trends towards resource efficiency and pollution control.

Nino Tronchetti Provera, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Ambienta, says: “We are delighted to welcome a professional of Nico’s calibre and experience to our team. DACH represents an attractive hub of long-term industrial investment opportunities for Ambienta, as we seek to continue to deliver outperformance based on our investment themes of resource efficiency and pollution control. In addition, the promotions of Francesco and Giancarlo represent a further strengthening of our investment team and reflect the importance of career development to our firm.”

Helling says: “Ambienta is an international firm with a clear and compelling vision – something that was backed up by the huge support the firm received for its recent fundraising. The concepts of resource efficiency and pollution control globally will only grow in importance in the coming years and I am delighted to be joining Nino and the team at this exciting time for Ambienta. I anticipate DACH will increasingly provide excellent opportunities for investment in industrial companies against our target strategy.”
