Tomorrow Partners hires Daniel Morland as a partner

Independent debt advisory firm Tomorrow Partners has appointed Daniel Morland as a partner.

This expansion of the partnership comes on the back of the highly successful launch of Tomorrow Partners in 2012, with the firm advising on seventeen completed transactions in the last two years, with an aggregate financing size in excess of EUR5 billion.

Daniel joins from Gleacher Shacklock, where he was a partner and Head of Debt Advisory.  He brings over 20 years of financing experience, including prior roles at Close Brothers and Robert Fleming & Co.  He has advised on the financing of a number of recent private equity transactions, including Onex Corporation’s acquisition of Survitec, announced on 12 January 2015.

Daniel Morland, partner at Tomorrow Partners, says: “I am excited to be joining Tomorrow Partners.  Its advice focused model clearly presents a distinctive and attractive proposition to private equity clients.”

Jonathan Rowland, co-founder of Tomorrow Partners, said: “We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the firm.  He brings a wealth of experience and a number of strong client relationships to further expand our business.”

Neil Thomson, co-founder, adds: “Our clients value our advice-led proposition across the full range of financing alternatives.  Daniel’s recruitment is consistent with our desire to provide best-in-class solutions and will enable us to better serve both existing and new clients of the firm”.

In 2014 Tomorrow Partners advised on a range of financing transactions in both public and private markets: public high yield bond refinancings for each of HSS Hire, ghd, Alain Afflelou and HEMA, and private loan transactions for Hellman & Friedman’s acquisition of Scout 24 and the refinancings of Quorn Foods, insurance software business, SSP, and outdoor apparel retailer A/S Adventure.
