Franck Abadia appointed Director in LBO France’s operating team

LBO France has appointed Franck Abadia as Director within the firm’s operating team which is composed of former CEOs and operational managers who offer portfolio companies the benefit of their experience and networks.

They assess the company’s potential for creating operational value on the basis of three criteria – strategic feasibility, management quality, and reliability of operational plans – measured at each key point in the cycle – entry, management and exit.

Franck joins Etienne Colas, a former Senior Director at AlixPartners, Guy Latourrette, former CEO of La Redoute and Devanlay-Lacoste and Gilles Taldu, Partner and Member of LBO France’s Executive Board, and former manager of Thomson and Capgemini. Composed of four members, the team reports directly LBO France’s Board of Directors.

Robert Daussun, President of LBO France, declared: “We are delighted to welcome Franck Abadia. His industrial expertise will be a key asset, strengthening the execution capabilities of the team, working portfolio company managers. In 2014, the successful missions of the Operating Team, such as implementing a cross-portfolio cost optimisation platform, clearly showed its capacity to create value.”

Abadia joined LBO France in 2014. He began his career in 2004 in the automotive industry (Faurecia, Asahi Glass Co.) where he held Business Development positions. He then joined Lafarge headquarters to develop energy sourcing optimisation worldwide. Since 2012, France was a Vice President at AlixPartners, a consulting firm specialised in Operations Performance where he served clients in B-B sectors such as Telecom and Process Industries.

Abadia is a graduate of the Arts & Métiers engineering school in Paris. He also holds a Master of Science from Cranfield University UK and an MBA from the HEC business school in Paris.
