The Quoted Companies Alliance, an independent membership organisation for small to mid-size quoted companies, has appointed Judith MacKenzie to its Board.
MacKenzie is a Partner of Downing LLP and is responsible for the Public Equity Division which predominantly focuses on Micro-Cap investments of under GBP150 million market capitalisation. In this role she is known for her selective approach, researching companies thoroughly before investing and holding them for long periods.
Prior to joining Downing in October 2009, MacKenzie was a partner at Acuity Capital, managing AIM-quoted VCT and IHT investments and a small-cap activist fund. Previously Ju MacKenzie dith was for eight years a senior investment manager with Aberdeen Asset Management Growth Capital as co-Fund Manager of the five Aberdeen VCTs, focusing on technology and media investments in both the public and private arenas.
In total MacKenzie has more than 19 years micro-cap and small-cap fund management and broking experience. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has sat on a number of public and private company boards.
