Rede Partners doubles team size to cater for growing demand

Rede Partners, the fundraising and private equity secondaries advisory firm, has expanded its team from 10 to over 20 people since the beginning of last year, on the back of a strong run of closings and an increase in demand for its services.

Since Rede was established in 2011 the firm has built a team of experienced professionals with a focus on hiring the best talent from leading investment banks and private equity firms. Over this same period the team has supported its clients in raising over EUR6 billion of primary capital and divesting c.EUR500 million of secondary interests.

Hires include Marina Jovanovic (previously with DLJ Merchant Banking and Goldman Sachs), Sabrina Malpas (Lehman Brothers and Nomura), Alastair Baird (Park Square Capital), Jonathan Hartland (Morgan Stanley and Citigroup) and Ian Flavell (Barclays). Furthermore, Rede appointed Yaron Zafir to lead Rede’s growing secondaries business. Yaron has 12 years of private equity experience and joined Rede from Paul Capital, where he was a founding member of the London deal team.

Rede, which has recently moved to new offices in Marylebone to accommodate its growing team, has also recruited Mark Evans as Chief Operating Officer. Mark has over 30 years of experience in international finance and has spent time at IVC Group, Commerzbank, UBS, JP Morgan and KPMG. In this role Mark will be responsible for working with the founding Partners, Scott Church and Adam Turtle, to develop Rede’s internal infrastructure in line with its continued growth.

Rede’s co-founder Adam Turtle said: “We are pleased with the calibre of professionals we have been able to recruit to the Firm, who were attracted to our dynamic culture and differentiated business model gaining market share. These new appointments bring a range of additional experience and specialist expertise to the team that will continue to enhance our service offering to clients.”

Rede’s past and current clients include Ambienta, AnaCap Financial Partners, Apax France, GHO Capital, PAI Partners, Paragon Partners, Stirling Square Capital Partners, Värde Partners, and Wise SGR.
