Segulah V acquires Semantix

Segulah V is to acquire Semantix Group AB from majority shareholder Litorina Kapital III and minority shareholders. The operational shareholders of Semantix’s management team will remain as owners post the transaction.

Semantix is the Nordic region’s leading provider of advanced language services. Semantix offers interpreting, translation, training and writing services through its network of about 7,000 professional translators, interpreters and language consultants. Its customers include public authorities, municipalities, county councils and large and small companies in most industries. The Group has offices in Sweden, Finland and Norway, with about 300 employees. Semantix is expected to have a turnover of approximately SEK 600 million in 2015.

“We are delighted to have such a strong and highly qualified owner as Segulah. They have the experience and knowledge required to support us in our continued growth in the fragmented language industry. We will now continue our effort, using technology and efficient processes, to increase quality for our customers in a cost-effective manner,” says Anders Uddfors, CEO of Semantix.

“Semantix has had an impressive journey in recent years. The combination of the Company’s sales success and its technology investments has created an excellent platform for further growth. We are now looking forward, together with the Company, to taking the next step on this journey of growth, in which plans include acquisitions as well as continued organic growth,” says Henrik Lif, Partner at Segulah Advisor AB.

The acquisition will be Segulah V second investment.
