TA Associates makes new hires in Boston, Menlo Park and London

Private equity firm TA Associates has added investment staff with Amara Suebsaeng, Alex Melamud and Max Cancre rejoining the firm as Vice Presidents in Boston, Menlo Park and London, respectively, while John DiCola has joined the firm as a Vice President in Boston.

“We are pleased to welcome John to TA Associates and are excited to have Amara, Alex and Max return to the firm,” says Brian J Conway (pictured), Chairman and a Managing Director at TA Associates. “These four individuals bring a depth of knowledge within a number of TA’s focus industries. We look forward to them joining our industry teams as we continue to seek new growth companies and to help scale companies in our existing portfolio.”
 
Cancre focuses on investments in technology and financial services companies across Europe. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as an Associate in the London office of TA Associates. He previously served as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division, Structured Finance Group at Barclays Capital. Cancre received a BA in Economics and International Relations, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
 
DiCola focuses on investments in technology companies. Prior to joining TA Associates, he served as an Associate at Hellman & Friedman, LLC, and earlier served as an Analyst at Greenhill & Co. DiCola received a BA in Economics from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
 
Melamud focuses on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as an Associate in the Menlo Park office of TA Associates. He previously worked in the Global Technology Investment Banking Group at Barclays Capital. Melamud received a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude, and a BA in Psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
 
Suebsaeng focuses on investments in business, technology-enabled and other services companies. Prior to attending graduate school, she served as an Associate in the Boston office of TA Associates. She previously served as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division, Global Power and Utilities Group at Morgan Stanley. Suebsaeng received a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Princeton University, and an MBA, with Distinction, from Harvard Business School.
