CohnReznick Capital Markets Securities has added three new members to its renewable energy team.
Industry veteran, Nick Sangermano is Managing Director and Head of Corporate and Private Placements. Hw will lead CohnReznick Cap Markets’ efforts to further support its energy and other corporate clients’ needs for capital.
Sangermano brings more than 15 years of investment experience to the Firm, having led and structured numerous private equity and debt capital raises in the renewable energy industry. Most recently, he was a managing director at Ambata Securities where he advised clients on private capital raises, fundraising and transaction execution, with a focus on energy and sustainability. Prior to that, Sangermano was Chief Operating Officer and a founding team member of the private equity fund Hudson Clean Energy Partners, While there, he helped to establish Hudson’s inaugural USD1 billion fund and led fundraising, investor relations, and portfolio management. He began his investment banking career at Credit Suisse and CIBC.
Sangermano’s renewable energy experience is underscored by several leadership positions he has held with industry organisations including Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF)’s New Energy Pioneer Award selection committee, American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) advisor, Concordia Summit member, and Trustee and Director of Riverkeeper, an organisation dedicated to protecting the Hudson River and tributaries that provide New York City with its drinking water.
Sangermano earned an MBA from McGill University and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Western Ontario, and began his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an officer and pilot.
CohnReznick Cap Markets has also added two banking professionals to its renewable energy team. Adrian Ruiz and Michael Tatarsky, both coming from Santander’s asset and capital structuring team, have joined the Firm. Ruiz and Tatarsky each have significant experience with cash and tax equity investments and have played key roles in numerous wind and solar transactions.
