Elian has appointed an associate director with more than 10 years’ experience in auditing, banking and finance has been appointed to oversee the fund services team in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Kathy Cheng (pictured), who was educated in Australia and Hong Kong, brings extensive fund, alternative investment and auditing experience to the role. She joins Elian from Citibank NA, where she led an experienced team of fund accountants. Prior to this, Cheng held auditor positions with a bank and at big four accounting firms.
Graham Gurney, Chief Operating Officer of Elian in Hong Kong, says: ‘Kathy is a highly motivated individual with a strong technical private equity fund accounting and operations background. I have every confidence that she will help grow Elian’s fund services team and reinforce Elian's position as a major player in the Hong Kong fund services sector.’
Cheng, a qualified accountant, holds a degree in accounting from Monash University in Australia and a masters in financial analysis from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
