Idinvest Partners and Ventech make USD7.2m series A investment in Botify

Botify, the search marketing analytics platform, has secured a USD7.2 million series A investment by Idinvest and Ventech. The funding will be used for product development, international expansion and hiring to accelerate the company's already impressive growth.

With its strong product differentiation, Botify is a SaaS platform providing search marketers with data and intelligence to optimise their sites and structurally increase organic, social and mobile traffic. Founded in 2012, Botify has seen a huge demand for its product and currently has more than 300 customers spanning 30 countries and ranging in size from SMBs to global enterprise customers in various sectors, including e‑travel (Expedia, Odigeo group, Agoda, BlaBlaCar), e-commerce (Farfetch, Lazada/Rocket Internet, Decathlon), media (Axel Springer, Refinery29, Webedia, Wikia, Time Inc.), lead generation (eBay, RetailMeNot, Yellow Pages), and digital agencies (Digitas, iProspect).
 
Botify focuses on building better‑quality websites and enhancing search engine crawl efficiency to increase traffic and revenue for websites. For Google, Bing, Yandex, Baidu and other search engines, the ability to crawl a website rapidly and efficiently is paramount in enabling them to index the relevant data properly, assign a ranking and direct organic traffic. Sub-optimal website structure can significantly inhibit this process, which is why Botify is an essential tool for aiding the crawling process via optimally structured websites.
 
The platform does not require any coding skills and is used across a variety of company functions, fostering collaboration across previously disparate teams.
 
Thomas Grange, CTO & co-founder says: “Botify now crawls and analyses hundreds of millions of pages and billions of links monthly, and millions of additional visits have been generated thanks to optimizations suggested by our app”.

This funding will fuel our ambitious product development roadmap, facilitate new hiring and boost our international roll-out,” says Adrien Menard, CEO & co-founder said.
 
Benoist Grossmann, Partner at Idinvest, led the investment and will take a seat on the board.
