idverde acquires Quadron Services

idverde has acquired the holding company of Quadron Services, the UK grounds maintenance provider.

Following quickly on from the acquisition of The Landscape Group (TLG) in 2015, idverde’s UK activities will grow to GBP90m annual turnover and 1,600 staff with enhanced geographical coverage across the UK and a significantly strengthened position in Greater London and Birmingham as a result of the transaction.

Nick Temple-Heald, Chief Executive of idverde UK, says: “Bringing together Quadron and TLG under the idverde UK banner is the perfect outcome of our growth strategy. The two businesses are both green specialists and passionate about the importance of parks and green spaces in the lives of the British people.”

idverde is the European market leader for the management, maintenance and construction of natural and urban landscapes.  idverde UK delivers a range of park management, grounds maintenance, tree surgery, street cleansing and landscape construction services to local authorities, housing associations, private businesses, schools, hospitals and the construction industry. The idverde group employs 4,000 staff based at 80 branches across France and the UK. Prior to the acquisition of Quadron, idverde had a turnover of EUR330 million.

Hervé Lançon, President of the idverde group, adds: “With this acquisition, we’re proud to demonstrate that idverde is leading the development of the green services market in the UK. With this significant leap forward, we hope that idverde will become the partner of choice for both public and private sector customers in the UK, just like it is today in France.”

Eric Faivre d’Arcier, Strategic Development Director at idverde group, says: “After working successfully with Livingstone on the acquisition of TLG ten months ago, they have proved invaluable in helping idverde to unlock the Quadron opportunity and have provided hands-on support and guidance to our teams in the UK and France throughout the transaction. We look forward to continuing to working with Livingstone as we look to new acquisitions in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.”

Jeremy Furniss, Partner at Livingstone, says: “idverde has rapidly become Europe’s No1 green services specialist and we are busy exploring new opportunities with high quality service providers across grounds maintenance and landscape construction.”
