21 Concordia backs Polish B2B laundry chain

21 Concordia I, the Warsaw-based private equity fund of 21 Partners, has invested in Polish laundry services provider Hollywood SA.

Founded in 1995 by Andrzej Konieczkowski, Hollywood is the largest B2B laundry chain in Poland. Operating across six laundry facilities located in Northern and Central Poland, the company provides bed linen and work-wear laundry as well as rental services to hospitals, hotels and manufacturing companies. Hollywood makes use of the most modern and environmentally friendly equipment.

Hollywood boasts a proven track record of successful acquisitions, leading the consolidation of a highly fragmented Polish laundry market and developing a nationwide network. With the support of 21 Concordia, Hollywood will enter new market segments and continue its external growth strategy targeting both smaller players in Poland and selective specialised companies abroad.

Dariusz Górka, Managing Partner with 21 Concordia, says: “Hollywood is an excellent investment opportunity with high growth perspectives backed by an increasing tendency of enterprises to call on laundry outsourcing and rental service providers. We look forward to working with Hollywood’s highly skilled management team to write a new chapter in the company’s development.”

Andrzej Konieczkowski, Founder of Hollywood, adds: “The partnership with 21 Concordia represents a new phase in our growth story. A like-minded entrepreneurial investor, 21 Concordia, will support us in growing our business in Poland and entering new market segments and geographies. Several opportunities have already been identified and are currently being reviewed.”
