Andrew James Lom, an investment management lawyer, has joined the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright’s New York office as a partner.

Lom (pictured) comes to Norton Rose Fulbright from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. He represents global asset managers, investors and private companies in a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters.

In his asset and wealth management practice, Lom advises clients on fund formations, private equity transactions, SEC and related regulatory matters, corporate issues and tax matters. In addition, he assists family offices and other financial investors with investment due diligence, private equity transactions and holding company structuring and counsels them on tax, regulatory and corporate issues.

Lom also has extensive experience with the establishment and operation of partnerships, LLCs, joint ventures and complex holding companies.

Linda Addison, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, says: “Andrew has an impressive financial investments and wealth management practice that complements our other financial services. We look forward to Andrew’s collaborating with our trust and estates lawyers as well as those who focus on fund formation.”

Daryl Lansdale, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Head of Business Practice, adds: “Andrew has significant domestic and cross-border experience, helping international clients through negotiations in complex US transactions. His diverse background will benefit Norton Rose Fulbright clients both in the US and globally.”

Lom, a co-founder of the American Bar Association’s Sub-Committee on Family Offices and active participant in the Managed Funds Association’s Outside Counsel Forum, says: “Joining Norton Rose Fulbright gives me an amazing opportunity to expand my practice to a truly global level. I am excited to work with my new colleagues and to introduce them to clients with tax, litigation, trusts and estates and real estate needs.”

Lom received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and his AB, with honours, from Brown University. He is admitted to practice in New York.
