Accordion Partners has launched a financial Accounting & Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, providing operational accounting, performance improvement and technical accounting support.
Accordion, a strategic and operational finance consulting firm, has created the FAAS group to complement its existing Strategic Finance practice in offering deep financial, technical and operational expertise to private equity portfolio companies and middle-market companies within the Office of the CFO.
Accordion has hired Rich Medor to head the new practice group, serving as Managing Director, Head of Financial Accounting & Advisory Services. Prior to joining Accordion, Medor spent five years as an Operational Executive at Viacom where he, among other activities, led a governance, process and control team to support a global SAP/ERP finance transformation implementation across the United States, Europe, and Latin America for Viacom Media Networks. Before his time at Viacom, he spent 13 years at Ernst & Young (now EY), most recently as a Partner. Medor started his career as an auditor at KPMG, and also spent four years as a corporate auditor at Time Warner, Inc.
