Humanyze gets USD4m from Romulus Capital in Series A

Humanyze, a specialist  in people analytics technology, has secured USD4 million in Series A financing from Romulus Capital.

The announcement comes as Humanyze rolls out the first of its kind Wyze people analytics platform to its strong Fortune 500 customer base in the US and industry leaders in Japan with the goal of making large corporations more agile and accurate about their most valuable resource (people), and to make these same people more in control of their performance and improvement.

“Our customers – which include the largest multinationals and consulting firms – are investing heavily in technology and personnel to make full use of our data-driven people analytics platform. Employees are almost universally opting in as they see the individual benefits. These additional resources from Romulus provide us strong footing to support new customers and grow with them over the long term,” says Humanyze CEO Ben Waber.

Wyze, the company’s flagship people analytics platform, is positioned for three use cases: improving teamwork and engagement, process improvement, and space planning. In all of these use cases, Humanyze’s technology directly impacts the performance of the underlying business.

For example, a Fortune 50 energy company has built a 14-person people analytics team around Wyze to quantify the ROI of multi-billion dollar investments in new workspace across the business. With its 1000+ subscriptions, this company uses Wyze to drive continuous improvement in the portfolio to improve business unit performance and achieve corporate real estate objectives, many of which are being measured for the first time.

Romulus founder Krishna K. Gupta commented that: “Humanyze continues to make great progress with some powerful analytics and fresh dashboards, and that’s wowing customers. We believe the future of the organisation and its employees is agile, which inherently means you need novel data inputs and sophisticated machine learning. Think about it – you’re using artificial intelligence to make the enterprise intelligent. You have 5 of the roughly 20 people in the world who can do this – all in one company, all at Humanyze.”
