Alpina acquires Cimdata

Funds managed by Alpina Partners have acquired Cimdata from Infoniqa Holding and iLab24.

Cimdata will now become part of a larger group of enterprise software businesses focusing on enterprise resource planning (ERP).

Alpina has previously acquired a majority stake in Oxaion, an ERP software company based in Ettlingen, Germany.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

“We are happy to welcome Cimdata as new member of our software buy-and-build platform. The company is a well-respected supplier of specialised ERP software solutions with a clear focus on the manufacturing industry,” says Florian Strehle, partner at Alpina Partners.

“Cimdata is a typical SME with lots of tradition and potential. We were looking for a buyer whose strategy is in line with the successful development of Cimdata going forward. Alpina’s approach was convincing for us,” says Karl-Heinz Götze, managing director of Infoniqa Holding.

“Alpina will support Cimdata on our growth path. We are looking forward to work together and to leverage synergies within the group”, says Holger Looks, CEO of Cimdata.

Alpina Partners is a London and Munich-based independent investment firm with over EUR300 million in assets under management. Alpina focusses on European growth companies with a strong technical USP. It is supported by the European Union through the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP).
