Silverfleet’s Sigma Components appoints non-exec chairman and CFO

Silverfleet Capital portfolio company Sigma Components has appointed Mark Rollins and Ed Riley as non-executive chairman and chief financial officer respectively.

Based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, Sigma is a precision engineering components manufacturer for the commercial aerospace sector.

The new appointments complete Sigma’s board of directors, which has been strengthened since Silverfleet’s acquisition to support the company’s growth plans.

Rollins has an extensive career in the manufacturing and aerospace sectors. He is a former CEO and financial director of Senior Plc, the engineering and manufacturing group, where he played an instrumental role in transforming the business.

Riley also brings considerable experience to Sigma having worked as CFO and finance director for a number of private equity-backed businesses including Concentric, Conex Banninger and more recently Gardner Aerospace.

David Mackenzie, partner at Silverfleet Capital, says: “It is testament to the scale of Sigma’s reputation and ambition that we have attracted Mark and Ed to support our growth plans. They will play an invaluable role in helping the company to reach its true global potential.”

Johnson says: “We welcome Mark and Ed to Sigma to join our continuing journey of growth and improvement. Both bring an incredible depth of experience and talent and we are pleased that they have chosen to help us take our business to the next level with the backing of Silverfleet Capital.”
