Langham Hall opens New York office

Private equity real estate fund administrator Langham Hall has opened an office in New York.

The firm can now provide clients with global coverage from seven offices across three continents.

The new office provides its US clients with a range of fund administration services to US domestic funds and respective offshore entities, as well as US companies.

Langham Hall will provide fund accounting, investor reporting and general administration services to debt, infrastructure, private equity and real estate funds.

Following the establishment of Langham Hall US, Matt Lowe has been appointed as the firm’s head of US. Prior to his appointment at Langham Hall, Lowe worked in alternative assets at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Hudson Clean Energy Partners.

Rob Short, Langham Hall's managing partner, says: "America is a key jurisdiction for us as a global business. It enables us to provide fund or company administration and accounting to domestic US fund managers, and gives US managers access to services in Europe for AIFMD and investment transactions via London and Luxembourg. In recent years, Langham Hall has grown its North American client base with the provision of Depositary lite and Annex IV reporting. This expansion into the US market made New York an obvious place for Langham Hall to establish a sizeable presence. Matt’s professional background and proven track record within the funds industry will be extremely valuable to our clients so we are very excited by the opportunities ahead."

Lowe adds: “Joining an owner-managed global team that is committed to ensuring our clients receive a value-add professional service is an exciting opportunity. Langham Hall’s boutique practice will provide US fund managers with a more intimate service than current providers. Langham Hall’s global infrastructure represents an attractive proposition to private equity, infrastructure, debt and real estate managers and their advisers looking for both domestic US and global administration and related services."
