WorldQuant Ventures invests in untapt

WorldQuant Ventures, an angel investment firm focused on disruptive companies in technology, has invested in untapt, a digital hiring platform that uses machine intelligence to match tech talent and employers.

WorldQuant Ventures’ investment allows untapt to scale its recruitment platform to support all tech professionals and businesses in the US and launch its internal talent marketplace untaptX.

“Hiring qualified technology professionals is a challenge for most businesses,” says Steven Lau, managing director at WorldQuant Ventures. “We believe that untapt’s innovative platform will change the way employers identify and hire tech talent. We’re excited to announce our investment in untapt, as the company approaches an ideal inflection point to further grow and maximise its potential.”

untapt is nearing the completion of this funding round, which is expected to close on 31 October and includes other strategic investors.

“WorldQuant Ventures has tremendous experience working with innovative companies that are driving advancements in data science and artificial intelligence, making them an ideal partner to help us redefine the tech talent market,” says Ed Donner, CEO and co-founder of untapt. “With this capital, we will rapidly open up the untapt platform to serve all tech hiring in the US, and launch our new product untaptX for internal mobility. We couldn’t be happier to do this with WorldQuant Ventures at our side.”
