Investec Specialist Bank has added new hires to its fund finance team, led by Simon Hamilton, global head of fund finance.
Based in the team’s London office, Nick Rusling, Alan Macdonald, Ian Weise and Oliver Bartholomew will play a key role in the development of the fund finance team as an innovative and agile financing provider.
Rusling joins from Barclays’ debt finance team. In his previous role as Director, he created a number of innovative financing structures provided by Barclays and handled the management of the sales process of a book of debt to Ares in December 2015.
Macdonald joins Investec Fund Finance’s legal risk team from Debevoise Plimpton, where he worked in its corporate finance team. He has over seven years’ post-qualification experience across financial law with particular expertise in leveraged and investment grade financing.
Wiese joins from Investec’s Johannesburg office, where he was a part of the specialised finance team for the last four years. He originally trained as a lawyer at the University of Stellenbosch and worked for the largest law firm in Africa, ENS, and KFML Holdings.
Bartholomew joins from Investec’s security and covenant management team, with two years’ experience as a financial covenant analyst.
