Kirkland & Ellis advises on closing of EMR Capital Resources Fund II

Kirkland & Ellis has advised EMR Capital, a mining private equity manager, on the closing of the oversubscribed EMR Capital Resources Fund II with commitments of USD860 million.

The fund, which will make investments in global metals and mining companies and projects, accepted commitments from a broad mix of global institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, family offices and fund of funds.
 
The Kirkland team was led by London-based investment funds partner Christopher Braunack, investment funds associates Jennifer Feng, Holly Clarke, Feni Ajumogobia and David Pritchett and New York-based tax partner David Grenker.
