Ogier appoints Jersey funds partner

Jersey funds and regulatory specialist Emily Haithwaite has joined Ogier as a partner.

Haithwaite’s (pictured) wide-ranging investment funds and financial services law experience has brought her recognition from clients and industry.

Haithwaite ihas almost two decades' experience acting for banks and asset managers in the formation, listing and winding-up of funds, as well as for sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds and investors investing into Jersey funds.
 
Her expertise spans private investment schemes and family office funds to general securities, infrastructure, hedge and private equity funds. Haithwaite also has extensive regulatory experience, having advised many investment, trust company, fund services businesses and directors on their regulatory license applications and ongoing obligations.

Haithwaite is an expert on AIFMD regulation and is an active member of Jersey's AIFMD industry working group. She also participates in other industry groups that consider the impact of international developments on Jersey laws and regulations, with a particular focus on investment structures.
 
Lalor adds: "2016 has been a great year for the investment funds team in Ogier, with significant growth in new clients and increased work flows for our regulatory specialists.
