Idinvest Partners opens Frankfurt office

Idinvest Partners has opened a new office in Frankfurt and added three German nationals to its private debt team.

The new Frankfurt office will be represented by Florian Zimmerman, who has been working with Idinvest since 2014.

Christophe Bavière, president of Idinvest Partners, says: “Brexit has accelerated the fact that Frankfurt is becoming one of the most active financial centres of Continental Europe. This new step is fundamental to the international development of Idinvest and our 20 years of experience across various European markets, including Germany, has reinforced our desire to be present in this region. The companies we finance in Europe will benefit from this local presence, which is part of Idinvest’s commitment to an international development.”

Companies in the German-speaking region supported by Idinvest include: Stanz und Laser Technik Jessen, Feuer Powertrain, Prae-Turbo (Booster), J&S, Backwerk, Christ, Compo Expert, SportGroup, Ameos, WMF Group, HSE 24, Hoffmann Menü, ASK Chemicals, Synlab, Douglas, Automic.

Idinvest Partners has developed a strong expertise in private debt, with more than EUR3 billion of the firm’s EUR7.1 billion of assets now managed in private debt funds.

Present in the market since 2007, the team has carried out more than 100 operations in Europe with a clear positioning on the mid-market sector (company values between EUR30 million and EUR800 million). Through funds dedicated to mezzanine/unitranche and leveraged loans, Idinvest is able to offer their investors and companies the complete range of private debt products.

For each transaction, Idinvest typically invests between EUR5 to EUR50 million, preferring companies with the following characteristics: a high quality management, market leaders, significant barriers to entry, a strong potential for growth, resilience of margins and cash flows.
