Perella Weinberg Partners adds partner to advisory business

Perella Weinberg Partners has appointed David Azéma as a partner in the firm’s advisory business.

Azéma will lead the firm’s investment banking practice in France, providing strategic and financial advice to clients in the country. He will be based in London.
 
Azéma joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was chairman of global infrastructure and vice chairman of global corporate and investment banking for Europe since 2014.
 
From 2012 to 2014, Azéma oversaw the French government’s holdings in strategic companies, including inter alia EDF, Engie, Orange, Renault, Safran and Airbus, as head of Agence des participations de l’Etat (APE).
 
Prior to that, he served as CEO of KEOLIS, a global leader in public transportation; deputy CEO of SNCF Group, a French transport and logistics group; CEO of Vinci Concessions, the infrastructure division of Vinci, a global concessions and construction company; and CEO of Eurostar Group, the high-speed passenger rail service between the UK and mainland Europe.
