Koger deploys NTAS platform in the cloud

Fintech company Koger has deployed its flagship NTAS platform for fund administration and compliance in the cloud.

NTAS is a share registry system that manages fund tracking, reporting and fee calculation.

More than 8,000 funds with USD2 trillion in assets are administered through NTAS, which is used by many of the largest funds, fund administrators and financial institutions.

The NTAS platform and its complementary product suite support all types of investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds, money market funds and pension funds.

“The migration of NTAS to the cloud is part of our ongoing innovation to enhance efficiency for financial institutions and make complex processes easier to manage. With this step, the platform becomes even faster and more convenient. It eliminates costly infrastructure expenditures for smaller firms, allowing easier access to more sophisticated technology and valuable efficiencies,” says Ras Sipko, Koger chief operating officer.

NTAS handles daily transfer agency record-keeping, investor registration, cash management, trade processing, compliance, reporting and fee processing.

NTAS in the cloud runs seamlessly via a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN). NTAS is scalable and can be customised to financial institutions and fund organisations of all sizes. The cloud configuration reduces up-front costs and makes it simple to scale up, without additional hardware or an “end of life” for current equipment.

“Koger has a 20-year track record working with the financial services industry,” says Sipko. “As investment vehicles have proliferated and the regulatory environment grown more rigorous, we have continued to evolve the platform to serve the rapidly-changing market, and simplify and streamline the day-to-day processes of fund administration.”
