NVM Private Equity adds two to investment team

NVM Private Equity has strengthened its investment team with two investment associate hires, Victoria Howarth and Jason Warren.

These appointments continue the growth in the investment team over the last 12 months following on from the recruitment of Charlie Winward in 2016.

Howarth and Warren will both be responsible for transacting new early-stage and technology focused private equity investments and the expansion at NVM will provide support as the firm pursues a broader investment strategy.

Howarth, who is based at NVM’s Manchester office, joins from IBM Global Business Services where she spent five years as a senior business and technology consultant working on a wide range of technology consultancy projects with substantial experience of project management, third party management and bid management.

Warren, who will be working from NVM’s Reading office, spent his early career as a software engineer in the financial sector. After completing the graduate scheme at Morgan Stanley, he joined the securitised products development team where he built data and analytic tools for strategists and traders. Following this, he worked as a quantitative developer for a systematic hedge fund, acting as the lead developer on the rewrite of the trade generation system and working closely with the research team to implement trading algorithms.

Tim Levett, chairman of NVM, says: “Adding two young associates to the existing team will further support our investment directors and is an important element in our growth strategy for the next few years. Both Victoria and Jason bring additional deal-making skills and a broader transaction perspective to NVM. I am extremely excited for the future with these new hires in place.”

Howarth says: “This is a great time to join NVM and I hope to use my background to add value to the team, helping drive continued success in this exciting industry which ultimately contributes to the success of the UK economy. As part of the NVM team, I look forward to working with exciting SMEs within the UK early-stage and technology sectors and helping them to achieve their potential.”

Warren says: “It’s an exciting time to be working with NVM as the firm is expanding its team and investment activity in an attractive part of the market. I am really looking forward to this opportunity and being part of NVM’s ambition for growth.”
