Fortino Capital adds investment manager

Investment company Fortino Capital has appointed Filip Van Innis as investment manager.

Van Innis will focus both on sourcing and realising deals and on following up on and supporting the portfolio.

Van Innis worked for five years at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), from associate up to project leader. His focus there was primarily on corporate development, telecom and financial services.

During a secondment period of one year with BNP Paribas Fortis, Van Innis worked on innovative opportunities in retail banking.

Duco Sickinghe, managing partner at Fortino Capital, says: “With Filip joining our team, we have even more expertise to support organisations and enable them to excel in the areas of strategy and growth, and successfully realise a digital transformation. In a short period, Filip has proven himself as a valuable and expert colleague, who is very engaged with the success of Fortino Capital."

Van Innis says: “I'm really looking forward to joining this bubbling cauldron of dynamism and expertise, and, together with my colleagues, turning Fortino Capital into a leading growth capital fund. For me, it's a perfect fit, in terms of the team, the approach and the values. I am stepping into a different world, but not totally different. These days, management consultants help the corporate world with challenges in the digital, innovation and agile areas. This is also the focus of Fortino Capital, but in the scale-up and SME landscape. It is also more than just the financial world — this is and will remain a people business."
