Clayton Euro Risk appoints business development head in Netherlands

Clayton Euro Risk, a provider of risk analysis on mortgage and asset finance, has appointed Maurice Wijmans (pictured)to the newly-created role of senior manager – business development for the Netherlands.

Based in The Hague and working across the country, Wijmans takes up his role with immediate effect, reporting to Clayton Euro Risk’s strategic delivery director Simon Collingridge.

His primary focus will be to build relationships across a range of markets including commercial real estate, consumer, shipping and corporate finance in the Netherlands to ensure that Clayton’s services deliver value and fully meet the needs of its clients.

In residential mortgage markets, Clayton Euro Risk will continue to work closely with its strategic partner in the Netherlands, Amersfoort-based The Dutch Mortgage Consultants (TDMC).

Wijmans has over 25 years’ experience in Dutch banking markets, mostly with NIBC with whom he most recently served as director of shipping and intermodal.

Collingridge says: “The Netherlands is a key strategic market for us. We believe that having a senior presence on the ground is critical to building productive relationships and deepening our understanding of the needs and goals of market participants.

“While we continue to build on our offering in residential mortgage markets with TDMC, we believe Maurice’s considerable experience will be invaluable as we look to extend our services across all other areas of asset finance.”

In February, Clayton Euro Risk announced it was targeting the Netherlands for growth in 2017. The company said the Netherlands had a dynamic and innovative market while demonstrating considerable potential for growth against a stable and efficient economic backdrop.
