CIFC appoints John DiRocco as COO

CIFC, a private debt manager specialising in US corporate and structured credit strategies, has appointed John DiRocco as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

DiRocco will oversee non-investment functions as well as the expansion of the firm’s investment product offerings in the United States and internationally. he served as Chief Operating Officer and a founding member of credit investment firm Reef Road Capital LLC. DiRocco will be based in New York and report to CIFC’s Co-CEOs Oliver Wriedt and Steve Vaccaro.
 
“John is a highly-regarded industry executive with deep operating experience and a long history of helping build successful organisations,” says Steve Vaccaro, Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer of CIFC. “We are thrilled to have him join our management team as we further enhance the firm’s existing capabilities and expand our global product offerings.”

Throughout his career, DiRocco has served as Chief Financial Officer at Citadel Investment Group and held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Paloma Partners LP. He also oversaw several of Shearson Lehman’s businesses and founded international financing and securities lending intermediary, London Global Securities. Mr. DiRocco has been internationally recognised for his contributions to the securities industry, having established two technology firms and broker dealers in five different countries.
