Great Hill Partners adds Growth Partner to team

Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm that invests in high-growth, disruptive companies, has added Andrew Gorrin as Growth Partner.

In this role, Gorrin will work collaboratively with Great Hill investment teams and portfolio company management to help design and execute their growth strategies.

Gorrin brings to Great Hill a strong track record of sales, marketing and product management across a diverse set of industries. His appointment reflects yet another addition to Great Hill’s in-house Growth Partner program and emphasises the firm’s long-term commitment to providing the strategic resources and guidance needed to enhance the growth trajectories of its portfolio companies.

“We’re thrilled to have Andrew join the Great Hill team as a Growth Partner,” says Matt Vettel, a Managing Director at Great Hill. “With over 20 years of experience leading and executing successful marketing and sales strategies, Andrew brings to GHP expertise in growing brands within the retail and fintech sectors. We’re confident he will provide a tremendous impact on both our investment team and our portfolio companies and look forward to his contributions.”

“I am excited to have the opportunity to join Great Hill, a firm that I have closely followed and admired for quite some time,” says Gorrin. “It is evident that Great Hill is partnering with leading and innovative companies that have a clear runway and potential for implementing even further growth initiatives, and I look forward to collaborating with management teams to build long-term value.”

Gorrin most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at ShopKeep, the top-rated tablet to cloud point of sale and payment processing platform serving roughly 25,000 retail businesses and restaurants across North America. As CMO, Gorrin led all go-to-market strategies for the sales and marketing departments. Prior to joining ShopKeep, Gorrin served as the Senior Vice President for Marketing at Web.com. During his tenure he led the company’s customer acquisition strategy, its cross-sell and upsell programs, its inside sales team and managed the product portfolio for its custom website and social media product lines. Gorrin started his career with Brodeur Worldwide and spent five years with American Express in senior positions focused on customer engagement and acquisition for high value, vertical markets in B2B. Gorrin holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Rochester.
