Arcano Partners adds to private equity team in Europe

Arcano Asset Management, the asset management division of Arcano Partners, has appointed Matilde Horta e Costa to lead private equity secondary market investments for Europe.

Matilde Horta e Costa has a BA from the University of Cambridge and began her career in the M&A advisory team at Perella Weinberg Partners in London. More recently, Matilde spent over five years in the investment and investor relations teams at Coller Capital, one of the largest private equity secondaries fund managers with over USD22 billion raised in the last ten years.

As a result of her time at Coller Capital, Matilde has a wealth of experience in the secondary market, both in limited partner interests (LP stakes) and manager-led (GP-led) transactions.

Matilde’s appointment is an important reinforcement for the team led by Ricardo Miró-Quesada, Partner and Head of Private Equity at Arcano. Arcano is currently raising its fourth secondary programme, Arcano Secondary Fund XIV, a fund with a target size of EUR300 million and that to-date has already closed 15 secondary transactions in Europe and the US.

Arcano is Spain’s largest independent alternative investment manager with more than EUR7 billion under management and advisory, of which approximately EUR5 billion are private equity funds. The firm has offices in Madrid, Milan, New York and Los Angeles.
