Bowmark Capital invests in Kubrick Group

Bowmark Capital, a mid-market private equity firm, has completed an investment in Kubrick Group, a provider of next-generation technology consulting.

Founded in 2016 by Tim Smeaton and Simon Walker, Kubrick addresses the acute global technology skills shortage, enabling companies to implement digital and data transformation. The business is at the forefront of creating a high quality, diverse workforce, and has trained and deployed close to 1,000 graduates into data, AI and cloud engineering roles at approximately 100 blue chip clients.

Since 2018, revenues and profits have increased by more than 50 per cent per annum, reflecting Kubrick’s unique capabilities in the fields of data engineering, data management, machine learning and data product consultancy – coupled with the accelerated adoption of digital technologies globally.

Antonia Cheong, Partner at Bowmark, says: “Kubrick’s impressive growth is a testament to the unique proposition that the team have built for both clients and consultants, as well as the scale of the market opportunity. We are excited to be partnering with Kubrick to expand the platform beyond the UK and to capitalise on the significant global demand for the brightest data talent.”

Tim Smeaton, Founder and CEO of Kubrick, says: “I am incredibly proud of the success we have achieved in our short history, and am delighted to find a partner that shares our values and will help us accelerate our growth. We have built a relationship with Bowmark over the last two years and look forward to working with the team to further expand the business, invest in technology enablement, develop our client offerings and enhance the career opportunities for our graduates.”
