Muzinich & Co SGR, acting on behalf of Azimut ELTIF Capital Solutions Strategy, has invested EUR18 million in Italian textile producer Canepa.
The investment, made in conjunction with Invitalia’s Fondo di Salvaguardia Occupazione e Rilancio Imprese and Michele Canepa, marks the first investment of the strategy and has been funded with a combination of equity and debt instruments.
As a result of the investment, Canepa has been able to meet its contractual obligations and can start implementing a new business plan having been plagued by financial problems since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
