Richard Haight has joined Nuveen Natural Capital as Head of Global Timberland Transactions.
In his new role, Haight will be a member of the leadership team and will focus on pipeline development, transactions (both acquisitions and dispositions), and capital deployment.
Most recently, Haight served as Head of TTG Forestry Services and US Operations for BTG Pactual’s Timberland Investment Group (TIG), supporting the management of TIG’s $3.5 billion in global AUM in both the US and abroad. Before joining TIG in 2015, Haight spent six years as Chief Operating Officer working for Brookfield’s Timber Funds in Brazil. Haight played a key role in growing Brookfield’s assets under management in Brazil from 60,000 hectares to 300,000 hectares as well as growing the operations to several separate but fully integrated operating businesses.
Haight is based in Atlanta, Georgia and reports directly to Chris Lipton, Head of Timberland Investments for Nuveen Natural Capital.
