Carlyle appoints interim global head of investor relations

Global investment firm Carlyle has appointed David McCann has interim global head of investor relations, effective 10 August, 2022, succeeding Nathan Urquhart who has decided to leave the firm to pursue new opportunities.

Urqhart will remain at Carlyle until the end of 2022, working with senior leadership to ensure a smooth transition. 
 
McCann, with more than three decades of experience in investment management, joined Carlyle in 2014 and is responsible for building partnerships with our largest LPs across North America.
  
Prior to joining Carlyle, McCann was Head of Asset Management Distribution for Credit Suisse Securities (Canada) Inc. Previously, he worked at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as Vice President and Head of Relationship Investments in Public Markets. Prior to that, he was a Partner at TD Capital and its successor partnership Birch Hill Equity Partners, a mid-market Canadian private equity buyout firm. He has also worked in various senior management roles with The Toronto-Dominion Bank in both the United States and Canada.
